Why does IE browser insist on using ? character instead of the standard ' character. Proper UK

I see it in Firefox too, I think it's down to the fonts used in the html document, i.e. not very good web coding!

It depends on the codepage in use on your computer, and the codepage in use on the web server. It's not an IE issue.

Spanish keyboards have both,the ? character goes in front of the question the ? character goes after the question.Why IE does it with you i could,nt say,but it does,nt with me.
it has nothing to do with IE. the problem lies on your computer's web coding.
