Why does IE keep web addresses in its memory?

like when you type an address it keeps it in the URL field history until you delete them. Is there a way to make it delete itself when I turn off the computer or not save it?????

Change your history save time in your settings. Programs-Settings-Control Panel-Internet Options-History. Set your History low...it's probably at 15 days or omething like that. It simply saves the location that way you have easy access without having to memorize the whole address. Start typing just a few letters of an address and everything relevant to those letters will come up and all you have to do is click which one you want. I use it all the time!
