Why does IE takes less time to start than Mozilla Firefox and many other browsers?

I suspect it has something to do with Active-X , but if you notice, firefox is just as fast once you've accessed it the first time,, in other words, firefox is only slow on the initial opening, after that its every bit as fast as IE, if not faster

firefoxe's code hasn't been compiled like other browsers. they leave it this way so you can hack all of it's parts more easily. yes you can even hack it so firefox is bluebird or whatever you want it to be. they even show you how to hack it on their site.

Safari (Apple's web browser) takes a shorter time to start than Firefox or IE. However IE takes a shorter time to start than Firefox probably because Firefox has to load a bunch of extensions and add-ons, while IE only has to load some extensions. Hope this helped explain it.
